A Christian approach to be a Godly Husband
License to be a Husband
As our modern society experiences one of the essential confrontations in the country’s history due to the constant challenges to our traditional Judeo- Christian values, our moral and spiritual fabric represented by the classic American family is disintegrating. Family disintegration attempts against the very foundation of our country and the prosperity and happiness of all its citizens, regardless of ethnicity, skin color, original language, and even professed faith; without ‘family,’ there is no country. In our social landscape, a man plays one of the most crucial roles, the role of a husband. This position carries an enormous responsibility, a place with several vital functions and one that transcends the wellness, development, and happiness of other individuals. In our present environment, an individual is required to be trained and properly licensed to perform several different trades. From a securities and stock salesperson to a massage therapist and public accountant to a manicure specialist, hundreds more well-respected professions and businesses require an educational process and a local or state license to perform. This process is optional for one of the most critical positions in the nation, but in most cases, men arrive at their weddings without real insight as to the meaning of their role as a husband. For Christian men, this also applies with an additional component of understanding what God expects from them and what God asks about them in their role as Christian Husbands. License to be a Husband is a book written with these objectives: to inform men what a Christian husband is, to explain what God is asking him to do and not to do, in what way he is to love his wife, how many roles he will have as a Christian husband, what is his wife's position in all of this and many other essential components. This book is written in a novel format presenting the conversation between a seasoned Christian man (Mr. Peter Morgan) and a young Christian man (Mr. Thomas McMillan) who happily arrives at his time of becoming a Christian husband. He will receive plenty of information and biblical facts a husband must know; they will review the biblical information a man ought to know not only to become a Christian husband but to ensure his wife will flourish as God has planned for her and that they both become to be the one-flesh-couple God wants them to be. The book offers biblical foundations for the future husband and the married man to understand God's view of the central roles a Christian husband must perform. The book touches on the main subjects of the day's needs and presents God's perspective in the critical areas of Christian couples in our society. As we see single mothers walking down the streets of our cities with an infant at her side without a father, we see sad little faces at the school play missing a dad. We all hear the stories of men leaving home for greener pastures. We, men, should recognize the importance of obtaining the knowledge to secure our proper position inside our family. We need to realize the values of the Helper God entrusted us and dedicate our life to the prosperity and wellness of all members of our family. License to be a Husband presents step by step, subject by subject, the central biblical views and knowledge both a single man or a married person needs to become what God has intended for him and to serve the kingdom of God. For the women reading this book, they will undoubtedly recognize, on the one hand, the immense and transcendental tasks their husband is to achieve, and, on the other hand, they will indirectly realize the magnitude of what her role as a God-appointed Helper is all about. Knowledge alone does not do any good at all; the intention of License to be a Husband is to convey the information we men need to become the Christian husband God intended for us to be. In addition to this, there is an invitation extended to all readers to apply this knowledge and to change the national landscape from a nation facing disintegration to a country solidified in the roots of a Judeo-Christian society, to become a solid and prosperous nation in pursuing of a better life for future generations under the guidance, protection, and blessings of the Almighty.
